This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete proposal and deal development lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and pre-deal analytics to contract execution and post-deal performance evaluation.
• Direct the development of New Product and Life Cycle Management strategies, including GOA and guidelines in collaboration with Market Access Strategy.
• Offer insights on market dynamics and customer specifics, validating customer models to meet brand objectives.
• Govern enterprise deals through executive oversight, Product-Specific Pricing Subcommittees, and PACT Reviews.
• Maintain governance charters, operational procedures, and efficient processes.
• Lead cross-functional teams across departments including P&C, Managed Markets, Legal, Finance, and Market Access Strategy.
• Refine deal strategies, question assumptions, and prepare proposals for executive and regional approval forums.
• Ensure proposals are in alignment with approved brand and channel contract strategies, as well as financial, legal, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Finance, Gross-to-Net, forecasting, data/analytics, and claims operations to guarantee accurate and consistent data sources.
• Supervise post-deal analytics and contract performance dashboards to compare actual performance with forecasts.
• Monitor gross profit margin and provide recommendations for renewals.
• Develop strategies for contract lifecycle management and future-oriented contract language.
• Advocate for process improvements, automation, contract lifecycle tools, AI, and bots to enhance proposal drafting, document comparison, and metrics generation.
• Assist account teams with deal presentations and customer meetings as necessary.
• Collaborate with Market Access Strategy Marketing to implement contract strategies.
• Mentor and cultivate a high-performing team through cross-training and backup coverage.
• Enhance deal analytics using quantitative frameworks, Payer360, and competitive lens models.
• Improve deal evaluations and incorporate post-deal insights into models like Anaplan.
• Optimize deal structures and new programs, including Value Based Agreements.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Life Sciences is required.
• An MBA, PharmD, or JD is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or payer environments.
• At least 5 years of dedicated experience in U.S. Market Access, pricing strategy, commercial/government contracting, account management, payer relationships, analytics, finance, or New Product Planning (NPP).
• Proficiency in pre-deal analytics, business case formulation, term sheet creation, and contract drafting.
• Familiarity with commercial payers, PBMs, GPOs, specialty pharmacies, trade, and institutional customers.
• Knowledge of U.S. market access, pricing strategy, contracting, payer analytics, finance, and NPP.
• Capacity to develop and manage enterprise deals and proposals.
• Ability to collaborate with financial, legal, compliance, forecasting, data/analytics, claims operations, and commercial analytics teams.
• Experience in contract lifecycle management, process automation, contract lifecycle tools, AI, or bots.
• Familiarity with Payer360, competitive lens models, Anaplan, and gross-to-net/revenue impact analysis.
• Ability to formulate Value Based Agreements and related enterprise capabilities.
