This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Assist the VP of Capital Markets in the creation and implementation of the company's financing and capital formation strategy.
• Oversee financing initiatives encompassing construction debt, term debt, tax equity, transferability, bridge facilities, warehouse structures, and corporate capital solutions.
• Analyze emerging financing structures, market trends, and regulatory changes that impact renewable energy capital markets.
• Act as the transaction lead for intricate financings, recapitalizations, asset sales, and strategic financing initiatives.
• Coordinate with external advisors, lenders, investors, consultants, and legal counsel throughout transaction processes.
• Spearhead financing negotiations, due diligence, documentation, and closing activities.
• Build and sustain senior relationships with banks, tax equity investors, private credit providers, infrastructure investors, and other financing stakeholders.
• Represent Lydian at lender, investor, and industry meetings, conferences, and strategic discussions.
• Enhance and nurture the company's network of capital providers.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the Capital Markets and Finance teams.
• Establish best practices, transaction processes, and analytical standards throughout financing activities.
• Assist in capital planning, financing strategy, portfolio optimization, and long-term capital needs evaluation.
• Deliver financing analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Aid in the preparation of materials for financing partners, lenders, investors, and internal investment committees.
• Over 10 years of experience in U.S. renewable energy project finance, infrastructure finance, investment banking, private equity, structured finance, or similar roles in capital markets.
• Proven track record in leading complex project financings, tax equity transactions, portfolio financings, and M&A transactions.
• Capacity to manage financing processes and external stakeholders independently through to closing.
• Extensive network within banks, tax equity investors, infrastructure funds, and participants in the financing market.
• Strong grasp of M&A sell-side underwriting, structuring, and execution.
• Experience leading cross-functional transaction teams in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient understanding of project development, including interconnection processes, permitting, project financing structures, offtake contracts, and power marketing.
• Ability to mentor junior professionals and contribute to the growth of the organization.
• Strong commercial acumen and capability to evaluate strategic financing options.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills at the executive level with senior lenders, investors, and management teams.
• Advanced knowledge of tax partnership rules and modeling techniques.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or another highly quantitative field.
