This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Drive profitable growth throughout North America.
• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the North American market.
• Mentor and guide business development directors and strategic account managers.
• Identify, cultivate, progress, and finalize select high-value opportunities.
• Maintain a personal pipeline and bear direct responsibility for new business acquisitions.
• Align resources, strategic accounts, target accounts, and growth investments with the global segment strategy.
• Oversee discovery processes, shape solutions, assemble pursuit teams, and advance opportunities to award.
• Propel profitable growth within existing strategic accounts and chosen target accounts.
• Act as the executive sponsor for key customers and enhance relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Direct strategic account planning and collaborative selling efforts.
• Provide executive oversight for RFQ and RFP submissions, pricing strategies, commercial proposals, contracts, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Operations, Quality, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, and Commercial Excellence.
• Maintain forecasts, pipeline information, account plans, and commercial actions within CRM systems.
• Communicate performance metrics, potential risks, and support needs.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer-centricity, and disciplined execution.
• Allocate team resources towards high-value opportunities and intervene when pursuits or commitments deviate from the plan.
• Cultivate commercial talent through coaching, field engagement, performance evaluations, and growth assignments.
• At least twelve (12) years of progressive experience in business development, strategic account management, or commercial leadership within IVD, diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology.
• A minimum of five years of direct leadership experience, encompassing coaching, performance management, talent development, and team building.
• Proven track record of expanding complex accounts and securing new business within a contract design, development, and manufacturing context.
• Experience in crafting commercial strategies, account plans, qualified pipelines, forecasts, proposals, and negotiation tactics.
• Ability to influence senior customer and internal stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operational domains.
• Willingness to travel frequently across North America and internationally as business demands dictate.
• An MBA or a master’s degree in engineering or life sciences.
• Experience managing a geographically dispersed commercial team across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
• A robust network within leading IVD, diagnostics, laboratory, bioprocessing, or life sciences firms.
• Familiarity with injection molding, connected devices, microfluidics, fluid management, single-use technologies, automation, or high-volume regulated manufacturing.
• Proficient with Salesforce, CRM, CPQ, pricing, proposal management, value-based selling, and strategic negotiation.
• Must successfully pass a drug test as required by state law.
