This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Lead initiatives for business development and commercial growth throughout France.
• Assist in the formulation of go-to-market strategies that align with DayOne’s growth objectives.
• Identify, source, and cultivate new opportunities with strategic partners.
• Build and nurture relationships with key utilities, government entities, and ecosystem partners.
• Aid in the execution of market entry strategies for France.
• Collaborate with delivery, operations, legal, finance, due diligence, and development teams to ensure customer requirements are met operationally.
• Convert technical infrastructure capabilities into attractive commercial value propositions.
• Facilitate long-term account growth and strategic expansion planning with key customers.
• Provide market intelligence regarding customer demand, competitive landscape, power availability, regulatory changes, and emerging infrastructure trends.
• Counsel leadership on strategic market opportunities, potential risks, and commercial priorities.
• Assist in the French market expansion strategy, validate customer demand, and forecast the pipeline.
• Monitor developments in the data centre market that influence future capacity demand across France.
• Report directly to the SVP of Business Development for EMEA.
• Collaborate with European Business Development, engineering, operations, and finance teams.
• Support the establishment of strategic local partnerships and ecosystem development across power, fibre, land, and infrastructure providers.
• Over 15 years of experience in business development.
• Self-motivated individual capable of establishing a presence in France.
• Capacity to assist the broader European Business Development Team with bids and participation in industry events.
• Position located in mainland France, ideally in the Northern regions.
• Fluent in French, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong understanding of hyperscale and large-scale infrastructure customer needs.
• In-depth knowledge of the French data centre markets, including challenges related to power and infrastructure.
• Existing connections within the data centre ecosystem.
• Strategic mindset combined with strong commercial instincts and execution capabilities.
• Executive presence and ability to engage credibly at both municipal and federal levels in France.
• Proficient in navigating both technical and commercial discussions.
• Excellent skills in creating presentations and reporting documents, with proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Highly collaborative, proactive, and solutions-driven approach.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments.
