This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Propel the company's growth and enhance its market presence in the field of bioanalytical science and services.
• Identify, develop, and secure strategic business relationships within East Coast territories across the US.
• Lead negotiations, define strategic initiatives, and strengthen existing partnerships.
• Collaborate with the scientific office, operations team, marketing personnel, and business development experts to optimize revenue and achieve organizational objectives.
• Meet or surpass revenue targets in designated East Coast territories, including In-Year Revenue, Pipeline, and Backlog Targets.
• Identify key decision-makers within targeted organizations and foster long-term relationships that lead to signed contracts.
• Oversee the entire sales lifecycle through project engagement and customer retention with personalized service.
• Prospect, identify, qualify, and prioritize new business opportunities.
• Encourage prospective customers to engage in capabilities presentations.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive business pipeline and effectively manage the assigned territory.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on pipeline status, account plans, and territory activities.
• Stay informed about competitors’ offerings.
• Mentor other team members.
• Identify, lead, and/or participate in strategic global business development and process improvement initiatives.
• Comprehensive knowledge of large molecule bioanalytical services and the market landscape.
• Proven success in closing deals and generating substantial top-line revenue.
• Skilled in building relationships through professional sales and interpersonal abilities with a disciplined and organized approach.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Capability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals in a professional manner, whether face-to-face, over the phone, or in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills, fostering excellent rapport with colleagues; proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining communication among teams.
• Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel domestically.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology), business administration, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in business development, account management, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on supporting a CRO, CMO, or drug development organization.
• Established sales experience in the life sciences industry and/or working knowledge of small and large molecule bioanalytical services and market is advantageous.
• This position necessitates frequent domestic and international travel.
