Senior Director, BD Excellence, Global Capability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the enterprise strategy for Business Development (BD) Excellence capability enhancement and global rollout.

• Deliver hands-on expertise by integrating with high-priority teams and initiatives to swiftly enhance BD Excellence capabilities and achieve quicker results.

• Collaborate with Business Development Excellence Leaders (BDELs), business executives, and regional teams to expedite the maturity and adoption of BD Excellence practices.

• Create tailored learning, coaching, certification, and capability-building programs with BDELs worldwide.

• Assess support requirements and ensure accountability for capability-building initiatives.

• Oversee deployment governance, standards, assessments, and measurement systems throughout the enterprise.

• Promote executive engagement and leadership growth in relation to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure adoption, capability enhancement, business impact, and value realization.

• Foster global sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and deployment strategies.

• Recognize capability deficiencies and implement solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations Management, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.

• An MBA, Master’s degree, or an equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in operational excellence, capability development, transformation, business excellence, or similar domains.

• Extensive experience in leading enterprise-wide deployments and organizational change efforts.

• Proven success in global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional settings.

• A demonstrated history of delivering quantifiable business results through capability development and operational improvement initiatives.

• Expert-level understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and deployment frameworks.

• Strong business and financial insight with the ability to link capability investments to business value.

• Experience in establishing governance frameworks, performance systems, and maturity assessments.

• Outstanding leadership, coaching, facilitation, and influencing abilities.

• Proven capability to drive large-scale organizational change and cultural transformation.

• Willingness to travel approximately 70% domestically and internationally based on business and deployment requirements.
