Senior Director Analyst – Audit Function Strategy Expert

📋 Description

• Develop compelling, innovative, and essential insights content that provokes thought.

• Cultivate thought leadership, generate new insights, and create actionable strategies tailored to client needs.

• Assess client challenges and requirements, pinpoint root causes, and reshape perspectives to enhance strategy.

• Establish insights positions within a team of analysts.

• Provide independent insights to Gartner leaders to influence research directions.

• Conduct research, analysis, and forecasting of market trends and shifts.

• Consult with clients and prospects through both virtual and face-to-face engagements.

• Create and present at Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.

• Support Business Technology Insights (BTI) and Sales by acting as the market's voice and enhancing client engagement.

• Perform timely, high-quality peer reviews of content.

• Establish credibility as an industry expert, representing Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies.

• Engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with colleagues in Insights.

• Identify enhancements to research processes and develop new service delivery methodologies.

• Mentor and coach junior team members.

• Regularly engage clients with Gartner insights and interactions.

• Provide counsel to Chief Audit Executives and their teams on CAE leadership and audit function management.

• Facilitate internal insight discussions among analysts and collaborate across Gartner’s Assurance Practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a Graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 12 years of relevant field or industry experience.

• Applicable experience and a deep understanding of the internal audit leader or Chief Audit Executive role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Audit function and related areas such as Compliance, Legal, and Risk.

• Significant experience in Audit professional practices, including quality assurance, process improvement, audit staff training, and interaction with external auditors, regulators, and other assurance providers.

• Executive presence with the ability to gain credibility with executives and stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to operate under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional research and writing skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication proficiency, along with analytical and presentation capabilities.

• Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data, identifying patterns and frameworks, and defending conclusions.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts succinctly.

• Subject matter expertise and comfort in presenting at various engagement scales.

• Strong business acumen and financial insight.

• In-depth knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the relevant subject area.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams in a multicultural global environment.

• High learning agility and capability to navigate complex, matrixed environments.

• Competence in representing Gartner's research methodologies and strategies effectively.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% where applicable.

• Preferred: Experience in leading the development and execution of audit strategies.

• Preferred: Experience in designing and updating audit methodologies, policies, and procedures, and/or integrating new technologies into audit processes.
