This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +7 more states.
• Design, construct, and sustain secure cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
• Enhance and refine CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, and GitOps methodologies.
• Deploy and oversee Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, GKE, and OpenShift.
• Manage and govern enterprise DevOps platforms including JFrog Artifactory, Xray, Curation, Argo CD, SonarQube, GitHub, and GitHub Runner infrastructure.
• Implement security measures for software supply chains, artifact governance, dependency management, vulnerability handling, and secure software delivery practices.
• Assist with application security initiatives, VIT/CVIT remediation, secret management, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain security protocols across Azure DevOps, GitHub, build agents, and GitHub Runner platforms.
• Collaborate with security teams to evaluate, prioritize, and rectify vulnerabilities impacting developer platforms and CI/CD services.
• Design and facilitate feature flag management and progressive delivery using LaunchDarkly.
• Develop automation and self-service solutions utilizing PowerShell, Bash, Python, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, SOC2, and regulatory compliance across DevOps platforms and processes.
• Configure and support enterprise build agents and runners in Linux, Windows, and GitHub Runner environments.
• Provide Level 3 support, incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support for critical platform services.
• Lead platform modernization efforts while ensuring security, compliance, reliability, and operational stability.
• Create engineering standards, documentation, reusable templates, and resources for developer enablement.
• Engage in Agile delivery practices.
• Over 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, or operations.
• More than 5 years of practical DevOps engineering experience.
• Proven experience in designing and supporting cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience in building CI/CD platforms using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, and GitOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms, including AKS, GKE, and OpenShift.
• Experience managing JFrog Artifactory, Xray, Curation, Argo CD, SonarQube, LaunchDarkly, GitHub, and GitHub Runner infrastructure.
• Expertise in implementing software supply chain security, dependency governance, vulnerability remediation, secret management, and secure software delivery practices.
• Experience supporting application security initiatives, VIT/CVIT remediation, and enterprise compliance efforts.
• Strong administration experience in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Advanced scripting abilities in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with managing observability and platform reliability practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale DevOps platforms and developer enablement initiatives.
• Experience in operating within HIPAA, SOC2, or other regulated compliance environments.
• Preferred: experience in supporting large-scale enterprise DevOps platforms.
• Preferred: experience leading enterprise DevOps platform modernization, onboarding, adoption, and governance initiatives.
• Familiarity with DORA metrics and DevOps maturity models.
• Experience integrating automated testing, security scanning, compliance controls, and software supply chain security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting healthcare technology platforms or other regulated industries.
• Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, or related cloud certifications are preferred.
• Experience with software supply chain security governance frameworks, SBOM management, and dependency governance.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for home internet connection.
• Ability to work from a dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect PHI/HIPAA information.
