Senior Platform Engineer, Human Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete development of Anyone AI’s Human Data platform.

• Design, establish, and enhance environments for RL, coding, STEM, and various evaluations.

• Create dependable and consistent environments for contributors and internal teams.

• Direct the platform development concerning project structures, pipelines, and taxonomies.

• Design workflows from initial briefs through tasks, quality assurance, and final delivery.

• Maintain clear project taxonomies as domains and clients grow.

• Assist with the operational layer, which includes payments/payouts, task approval and rejection, RBAC, roles management, and visibility of project revenue and costs.

• Establish the technical direction for the platform.

• Prioritize tasks related to environment work, pipeline development, and administrative operations.

• Enhance system instrumentation and operability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior software engineer with over 4 years of experience or equivalent ownership.

• Proficient in backend or full-stack development.

• Comfortable managing a production web product along with its services.

• Experience in managing a multi-sided platform involving operators, contributors, and internal stakeholders.

• Background in building or extensively operating systems in human data, RLHF, labeling, model evaluation, RL/evaluation harnesses, annotation pipelines, or coding/STEM evaluation environments.

• Experience in developing admin or back-office workflows, including approvals, roles/permissions, payments or payouts, and operational metrics.

• Proven ability to lead a technical initiative with significant ambiguity within a small team.

• Demonstrated independence in transforming a complex human-data/evaluation domain into a structured roadmap and deliverable systems.

• Working knowledge of human-data and evaluation workflows, encompassing tasks, quality control, environments, and expert workflows.

• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

• Preferred: experience in environment orchestration using containers, workers, or sandboxes.

• Preferred: prior experience at or related to Scale AI, Surge, Handshake AI, Labelbox, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: familiarity with modern web/data technology stacks.
