This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build, manage, secure, automate, and enhance cloud infrastructure and software delivery environments.
• Convert security and compliance requirements into actionable technical controls.
• Provide direct support for HIPAA, SOC 2, and related compliance initiatives.
• Construct, maintain, secure, and optimize AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
• Oversee IAM, networking, databases, storage, logging, monitoring, and SIEM integrations.
• Develop and sustain Terraform, secure CI/CD pipelines, deployment tools, and automation processes.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, security telemetry, incident response support, and hardening of applications/infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and other internal teams to automate workflows, interconnect systems, and minimize manual tasks.
• Create scripts, integrations, internal tools, and API-driven automations.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and infrastructure security standards.
• Investigate and assess tools, security practices, and infrastructure strategies.
• Participate in on-call or escalation coverage as operational needs change.
• Report directly to the Director of IT, DevOps & Security.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud security engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, or a related discipline.
• Strong grasp of cloud security, IAM, networking, vulnerability management, observability, and incident response.
• Practical experience in supporting or implementing security controls within regulated environments like HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Hands-on experience with SentinelOne or comparable EDR/endpoint security platforms, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and securing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in writing scripts using Python, Bash, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and security automation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and architecture reports.
• Capability to work independently, investigate unfamiliar issues, and lead projects from problem identification through to implementation.
• Experience in healthcare, healthtech, financial services, or another heavily regulated industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Datadog, SentinelOne, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or Google Workspace administration is preferred.
• Direct experience with SIEM setup, detection engineering, or penetration testing remediation is preferred.
• Background in disaster recovery planning and backup restoration testing is preferred.
