This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect requirements and craft solutions that align with engineering standards and business objectives.
• Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clusters in both on-premises physical and virtual environments.
• Take ownership of systems engineering projects pertaining to OpenShift infrastructure.
• Work alongside development teams to containerize applications and enhance deployment and release processes.
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing OpenShift and related DevOps tools.
• Automate operational and deployment processes using Ansible and scripting languages.
• Conduct patching and upgrades for OpenShift clusters, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, and associated components following change-management protocols.
• Develop, execute, and manage backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy plans.
• Engage in on-call/standby rotations for critical platform and infrastructure services.
• Carry out trend analysis, root cause analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Enforce security protocols including RBAC, vulnerability management, and compliance measures.
• Enhance alerting, monitoring, and observability across OpenShift and related systems.
• Perform Linux system administration, infrastructure maintenance, and data center service support as necessary.
• Generate and maintain architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and runbooks.
• Share knowledge, provide mentoring, and conduct training for colleagues on OpenShift, GitLab, and corresponding infrastructure technologies.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent certifications, including Red Hat OpenShift.
• At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Practical experience in deploying, operating, and maintaining OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or on-premises settings.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
• Solid experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Capable of documenting architectures, configurations, standards, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or Computer Science is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is a plus.
• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware is beneficial.
• Understanding of ITIL Service Operations principles.
• Experience with tools like ArgoCD, monitoring/observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana, or disaster recovery solutions is optional but valuable.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and navigate through ambiguity.
• Capability to grasp business drivers and stakeholder expectations, translating them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in producing architectural documentation and visual design diagrams using tools like Visio.
