Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and sustain software and systems aimed at enhancing service availability, scalability, and efficiency.

• Establish the architectural vision for infrastructure and platform services.

• Create and implement tools and processes for deployment, change management, service management, and infrastructure oversight.

• Diagnose and resolve critical system issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Contribute to the development and optimization of engineering platform functionalities.

• Conduct capacity planning and forecast demand accurately.

• Engage in rotating on-call responsibilities.

• Work collaboratively with product development, developer experience teams, backend infrastructure, Engineering, and Applied Science teams.

• Profound expertise in AWS and Linux environments.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and debugging code within production-facing systems.

• Specialized knowledge in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

• Familiarity with DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, and TCP/IP protocols.

• Capability to break down complex issues and comprehend delivery trade-offs.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing infrastructure and systems.

• Proven knowledge of monitoring, operating, and analyzing distributed microservice systems in a cloud production setting.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional partners across various technical backgrounds.
