This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Automate the lifecycle of build, test, and deployment for a diverse range of cloud applications and services.
• Improve platform services and contribute code across various automation projects.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Operations, and Engineering teams within Agile methodologies.
• Design and implement systems and solutions that align with the existing architecture.
• Maintain tools and processes for a large-scale enterprise system.
• Oversee and manage enterprise-wide development tools.
• Automate processes for building, packaging, testing, patching, and deployment.
• Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment for multiple product initiatives.
• Facilitate audits of environment profiles along with build and release activities in conjunction with the Configuration team.
• Develop adaptable and responsive release methodologies.
• Organize and maintain software configuration management for secure, highly available systems.
• Scale infrastructure, monitor site stability and performance, and resolve site issues.
• Construct and uphold a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform that meets established SLAs.
• Assist development teams by utilizing automated infrastructure and collaborate with developers to launch features and services into production.
• Engineer automation solutions for production and enterprise alongside Delivery teams.
• Establish lower-level and production environments and deploy applications, artifacts, and tools.
• Review deployment protocols and perform reproducible deployments.
• Integrate and monitor software testing automation at various levels.
• Implement code management processes, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
• Manage cross-functional requirements in collaboration with Engineering, Product, Services, and other departments.
• Advise teams on DevOps best practices focusing on scalability, performance, reliability, and speed to market.
• Engage with leadership, Group Leads, and Lead Architects concerning infrastructure needs, deployment planning, scheduling, and issue resolution.
• Fulfill annual Performance Plan responsibilities and special project assignments.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in the industry or a related area.
• Demonstrated enterprise-level experience in a software configuration management role.
• Experience in application stack deployment and support.
• Background as a member of a software project life cycle team.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying and monitoring cloud-based applications in Azure or AWS; Microsoft Azure is preferred.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Proficiency in Deployment Automation & Orchestration platforms such as Jenkins.
• Experience with collaborative version control systems like Git, GitHub, Subversion, or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Understanding of basic Java/Python deployment constructs in web and thick client applications.
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD project management tools including JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of cloud computing and container solutions like Amazon EC2 and Docker.
• Experience managing code repositories and implementing DevOps best practices.
• Familiarity with orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Mesos, or Swarm.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl and Python for developing automation tools.
• Experience in developing applications that adhere to Agile principles.
• Strong understanding of software project release automation.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Oracle DB deployments.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and workloads.
• Capacity to work independently in a highly dynamic environment.
• Comfort working with remote team members from the US, India, or other regions.
