This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify, nurture, solicit, and manage relationships with five-, six-, and seven-figure donors.
• Create and implement personalized donor engagement strategies aimed at retaining and increasing contributions.
• Meet annual revenue objectives.
• Advocate for and embody Evidence Action’s mission and methodology.
• Perform wealth screening and conduct prospect research.
• Formulate strategies to secure new donations.
• Prepare senior leadership for engagements with donors and prospects.
• Draft proposals, impact reports, acknowledgments, presentations, and various communications.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Evidence Action’s programs and fundraising priorities.
• Keep thorough and accurate records of donor engagement in Salesforce.
• Test strategies to enhance revenue from growth sectors and new demographics.
• Build a donor community within the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Evaluate progress against fundraising goals and suggest modifications to engagement strategies.
• Explore the use of AI-driven tools and emerging technologies.
• Report to the Associate Director of Philanthropy.
• More than 6 years of experience in fundraising, communications, or business development.
• At least 3 years of progressive responsibility in direct fundraising and donor relationship management.
• Proven ability to activate donors and secure gifts of at least six figures.
• Outstanding relationship-driven growth or business development experience may be considered as equivalent.
• Proficient in communicating with high-value donors and prospects.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage complex projects throughout their entire life cycle.
• Ability to adapt in real time, utilize data for informed decision-making, and innovate or pivot as necessary.
• Willingness to arrange meetings with donors and globally based colleagues outside of regular business hours.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; Evidence Action is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of a U.S. employment visa.
