Senior Developer Productivity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and deploy AI-driven systems that enhance the efficiency of Engineering teams

• Collaborate with Frontend, Backend, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and FDE engineering teams to understand workflows, identify challenges, and boost throughput, quality, and volume

• Evaluate software development solutions from frontier labs, infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, and neoclouds

• Assess tool capabilities, pinpoint extensible edges, and create connections between systems

• Collaborate directly with Laureates and leadership to decide what to measure, develop, and purchase

• Engage with engineering teams to comprehend operational processes at Laurel

• Partner with teams and individual contributors to instruct on new tools, gather feedback, and refine processes

• Design systems that are accessible to both human and agent users

• Develop CI/CD pipelines for high throughput and agent interactivity

• Work on application platforms for both Laurel’s external products and internal use

• Propel tool distribution and adoption

• Gather feedback through informal communication and technical telemetry

• Stay updated on industry news and trends, providing recommendations on pursuits and dismissals

• Construct, launch, and re-architect high-volume projects as technology advances

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in Platform, Infrastructure, DevEx, or DevOps roles

• Capability to independently design and deliver complex systems with minimal supervision

• Proficiency with APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and data-heavy applications

• Experience in building with agent primitives: Skills, MCPs, Hooks, SDKs, multi-agent systems, routing, context, and cost management

• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Nix/NixOS, Homebrew, or MDM tools

• Proficient with Kubernetes and AWS

• Development expertise in Terraform, Go, and TypeScript

• Experience in startup environments

• Extensive experience in Linux administration

• Knowledge of Git

• Participation in a regular engineering on-call rotation

• Familiarity with CI tooling/platforms

• Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Capacity to excel in ambiguous environments where requirements change rapidly
