Senior Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Drupal websites and web applications in alignment with business and technical requirements.

• Create bespoke Drupal modules, themes, components, and integrations while adhering to established coding standards and best practices.

• Configure and enhance Drupal core and contributed modules to fulfill functional needs.

• Engage with Drupal architecture, content types, views, taxonomy, configuration management, user roles, permissions, and custom entities.

• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services within Drupal applications.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate application, performance, compatibility, and production challenges.

• Optimize Drupal applications for improved performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure development aligns with clean, maintainable, and reusable coding practices.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and frontend developers to create responsive and user-friendly web experiences.

• Work closely with QA teams to identify, replicate, and address defects during the development lifecycle.

• Execute Drupal upgrades, migrations, module updates, and version compatibility evaluations.

• Maintain technical documentation associated with architecture, development processes, integrations, and deployment protocols.

• Support deployment efforts across development, staging, and production environments.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance existing applications, development methodologies, and system performance.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Drupal development, ideally across various Drupal versions.

• Profound understanding of Drupal architecture, modules, themes, configuration, entities, views, taxonomy, and content management.

• Experience in developing custom Drupal modules and themes.

• Proficiency in PHP with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and contemporary web development practices.

• Experience working with REST APIs, web services, and third-party integrations.

• Strong understanding of MySQL or other relational database systems.

• Experience with Git or other version-control systems.

• Solid understanding of Drupal security, performance optimization, caching, and debugging techniques.

• Experience with Drupal migration, upgrades, and deployment processes.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with Drupal 9/10/11 and modern Drupal development methodologies.

• Knowledge of Symfony and Composer.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud or containerized environments.

• Understanding of automated testing and PHPUnit.

• Experience working with Docker, Linux, and web servers such as Apache or Nginx.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
