Senior Developer Advocate, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Advocate for and assist developers in creating solutions utilizing Autodesk Platform Services and associated Autodesk APIs.

• Develop sample applications, SDKs, and reference code that exemplify best practices.

• Create tutorials, how-to guides, blog entries, and brief demonstrations for community engagement and events.

• Offer technical support and troubleshoot issues for partners and customers integrating APS APIs.

• Reproduce problems and collaborate with engineering to implement fixes.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape API design and enhance the developer experience.

• Maintain runbooks and onboarding processes.

• Deliver reference implementations and example code for Model Context Protocol servers and clients.

• Utilize generative AI tools to expedite the creation of prototypes, sample generation, and documentation while ensuring quality and security of the output.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in software engineering or developer-oriented roles (web/cloud/native).

• Practical experience with REST APIs, SDKs, and contemporary web/cloud technology stacks.

• Capability to produce clean, tested sample code.

• Strong grasp of authentication and authorization patterns, including OAuth2 flows and service accounts.

• Knowledge of secure integration practices.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Confidence in presenting to technical audiences.

• Previous experience in developer advocacy, developer support, or partner-facing engineering is preferred.

• Familiarity with APS/Forge or Autodesk product APIs is preferred.

• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or .NET; Docker and cloud deployment patterns are preferred.

• Understanding of MCP server/client patterns or agentic AI integration concepts is an advantage.
