
Senior Math Libraries Engineer β LLM Integration, Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
β’ Lead the design and execution of mathematical library APIs and documentation frameworks that prioritize LLM capabilities: introspectable, explainable, and easily interpretable by AI agents.
β’ Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely releases of LLM-enhanced library updates.
β’ Develop metrics, tools, and processes to assess the impact and quality of LLM/agentic code generation.
β’ Create prototypes and solutions to adapt the APIs of math libraries into LLM-compatible formats across widely-used code generation tools.
β’ A PhD or MSc degree in Computational Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related scientific or engineering discipline is preferred (or equivalent experience).
β’ A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
β’ Strong understanding of LLMs, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, constructing RAGs, MCP, and developing agenting tools.
β’ Demonstrated experience in designing clear, composable APIs and producing high-quality, well-documented code within complex technical fields.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple projects and operate independently with minimal supervision.
β’ Exceptional collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
β’ Previous experience in AI-assisted software engineering, code generation, or programming language design.
β’ Familiarity with CUDA-X math library APIs, including cuBLAS, cuFFT, cuSOLVER, cuSPARSE, etc.
