Senior Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive user experiences for responsive web products and workflows.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and fellow designers throughout the product development process.

• Design and evaluate prototypes to validate concepts and collect customer feedback.

• Engage in user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and concept validation.

• Convert customer requirements, business objectives, and research insights into impactful product experiences.

• Contribute to and enhance the team's design system and design methodologies.

• Utilize contemporary design and prototyping tools, incorporating AI-assisted workflows as needed.

• Communicate design solutions and their rationale to cross-functional stakeholders.

• Continuously enhance user experiences through experimentation, iteration, and product insights.

• Assist in crafting intuitive digital experiences for H&R Block's tax and financial services from inception to delivery.

• Play a role in product strategy and influence design methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in designing comprehensive digital product experiences for responsive web applications.

• A robust portfolio showcasing user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and product thinking.

• Proven experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver customer-centric solutions from concept to launch.

• Experienced in creating, testing, and refining prototypes based on customer feedback, experimentation, and product outcomes.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Commitment to best practices in accessibility and usability.

• Experience in planning and executing user research, including interviews, usability testing, and other discovery techniques.

• Capability to integrate quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities and enhance customer experiences.

• Proficient in creating high-fidelity prototypes and collaborating closely with engineers during implementation.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, emerging design technologies, and designing AI-driven or automation-enhanced experiences.

• Experience contributing to or working within an enterprise design system, including components, patterns, and documentation.

• Strong visual design capabilities.

• Experience designing products within the financial services, fintech, tax, or other regulated sectors.

• Ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly customer experiences.
