Virtual Design Construction Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Develop model and drawing deliverable sets adhering to Interstates standards.

• Efficiently navigate systems and utilize tools.

• Conduct research on tool functionality while utilizing mentorship and available resources.

• Enhance methods and efficiency through collaborative efforts.

• Adjust models, data, and drawing sets as directed.

• Engage with internal and external teams using both virtual and in-person collaboration tools.

• Implement model and scope modifications in deliverables.

• Document and archive revisions in accordance with established protocols.

• Adhere to project workflows and standards to fulfill deliverable requirements and timelines.

• Execute self-checks to identify and rectify significant errors and deviations.

• Participate in peer reviews to ensure compliance with standards.

• Undertake advanced design tasks with supervision.

• Propose enhancements to tools and processes.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and construction teams to provide a constructable design.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or an applicable associate degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical college is mandatory.

• Preference will be given to candidates with 1-2 years of experience in virtual design, construction, or a related technical field.

• A combination of relevant education and practical experience may also be considered in lieu of formal educational prerequisites.

• Foundational experience with virtual modeling software, construction documentation, or technical design applications that support virtual design and construction processes.

• Travel is required, not to exceed 15%.

• Capability to effectively perform essential duties.

• Proficiency in communication using virtual and in-person collaboration tools.
