This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Formulate and implement the business-development strategy for Tridium’s commercial operations and channel ecosystem.
• Discover and pursue new market opportunities, strategic alliances, and customer segments to enhance market share.
• Cultivate and sustain executive-level relationships with distributors, OEMs, system integrators, controls contractors, and various channel partners.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of business-development professionals to meet revenue, partner-growth, and market-expansion objectives.
• Create account and territory plans, track market trends and competitive activities, utilizing data to pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, technical support, and operations teams to ensure a robust partner and customer experience.
• Facilitate channel enablement, partner recruitment, business reviews, and go-to-market strategies.
• Travel as necessary to assist customers, partners, industry events, and business-development priorities.
• Travel at least 50% across the United States and Canada.
• Minimum of 5 years in business-development, channel-sales, or related commercial roles.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth, acquiring new customers or partners, and meeting sales goals.
• Experience in selling or supporting building automation systems, building mechanical systems, or related connected-building technologies.
• Familiarity with the Niagara Framework, Niagara 4, or similar building-automation platforms.
• Strong comprehension of channel sales structures, including distributors, OEMs, system integrators, controls contractors, and value-added partners.
• Proven capability to establish and maintain strategic relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to evaluate market opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• US citizenship is required due to contractual/security clearance obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in selling to the data-center vertical market (preferred).
• Niagara 4 certification (preferred).
• Strong leadership and team-management skills, including coaching and developing commercial talent (preferred).
• Experience in developing channel go-to-market strategies, partner programs, and strategic account plans (preferred).
