Senior Delivery Leader – Aeroderivative Engine Operations Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategy for GE Aerospace's Aeroderivative and Marine Products.

• Oversee safety, engine configuration, installation integration, customer qualification, maintenance planning, field investigations, and testing objectives.

• Propel next-generation products through the integration of sustainable technologies.

• Offer leadership in systems technology for the AEOE family of legacy engines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic and tactical goals related to production and manufacturing flow, delivery, and continuous improvement.

• Work alongside engineering section leaders to implement programs effectively and on schedule while managing system-level risks in relation to customer needs.

• Coordinate efforts across the Chief's office, Design Boards, Project Management, Product Support, and Supply Chain.

• Facilitate the integration of systems and design to provide balanced design solutions informed by field experience and best practices.

• Direct technical execution during development, production, and field support phases.

• Lead Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives for designated hardware and processes.

• Develop and standardize engineering production support processes in collaboration with adjacent organizations.

• Act as the main technical liaison with external organizations.

• Harmonize internal team efforts with customers and partners.

• Negotiate and persuade stakeholders to define and implement technical and commercial solutions.

• Impact key product line decisions and long-term strategy.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement through Lean (FLIGHT DECK) methodologies.

• Advocate for initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times for addressing delivery challenges and streamlining engineering processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited university or college is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or turbine power generation is necessary.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engine systems and/or design engineering is required.

• An advanced degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering is preferred.

• Multidisciplinary technical expertise, including mechanical design and systems integration experience, is preferred.

• Hardware ownership or practical engineering experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes is preferred.

• Experience in leading or facilitating Value Engineering (VAVE), Kaizen, or producibility improvement initiatives is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability in talent development, mentoring, and coaching is preferred.

• Experience in leading teams, including indirect reports, is preferred.

• Strong skills in horizontal collaboration and stakeholder influence are preferred.

• Highly motivated and passionate individuals with exceptional communication skills are preferred.

• Proven ability to execute large, complex programs is preferred.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable, is required.
