This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Create and uphold demand forecasts across various products, markets, customers, and sales channels.
β’ Evaluate historical demand, Sell-In, Sell-Through, channel inventory, promotional activities, seasonality, and market trends.
β’ Update forecasts weekly and monthly based on business inputs.
β’ Support bottom-up forecasting at the SKU, channel, customer, and regional levels.
β’ Assist in forecasting new products that have limited historical data.
β’ Document assumptions and modifications related to forecasts.
β’ Monitor demand planning metrics such as forecast accuracy, forecast bias, Sell-In vs. Forecast, Sell-Through vs. Forecast, Weeks of Supply, and Channel Inventory.
β’ Investigate discrepancies in forecasts and conduct root-cause analyses.
β’ Identify demand patterns and emerging trends within large datasets.
β’ Generate reports and dashboards that highlight demand trends.
β’ Aid in New Product Introductions, product launches, transitions, and End-of-Life planning.
β’ Prepare demand data and analyses for monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP).
β’ Consolidate forecast inputs and recognize changes between forecasts.
β’ Summarize forecast modifications, assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
β’ Track follow-up actions stemming from demand review meetings.
β’ Assist senior planners and planning managers in crafting consensus forecasts.
β’ Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Channel Operations, Supply Planning, Finance, and Data & Analytics teams.
β’ Maintain regular demand planning reports and dashboards.
β’ Utilize Excel and SQL for analyzing demand, inventory, and sales data.
β’ Construct or maintain dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
β’ Operate within ERP, MRP, and planning platforms.
β’ Facilitate automation of reporting and forecasting tasks.
β’ Enhance data quality and planning processes.
β’ Provide demand insights that support inventory and supply decisions.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, inventory planning, business analytics, operations, or a related area.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Economics, Analytics, or a comparable discipline.
β’ Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
β’ Proven experience in analyzing sales, demand, inventory, or operational data.
β’ High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
β’ Understanding of forecasting and fundamental statistical concepts.
β’ Ability to recognize patterns and articulate differences between forecasted and actual performance.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail and capability to work with extensive datasets.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with various cross-functional stakeholders.
β’ Experience in consumer electronics, wearables, hardware, retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing sectors.
β’ Knowledge of demand planning concepts including Sell-In, Sell-Through, Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Channel Inventory, Weeks of Supply, New Product Introduction (NPI), End-of-Life (EOL), S&OP, and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR).
β’ Practical knowledge of SQL.
β’ Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
β’ Experience with planning or ERP systems such as o9, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
β’ Experience in supporting products sold through direct-to-consumer and retail/channel models.
