Senior Data Visualization Developer, Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain advanced data visualizations and dashboards utilizing Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, or comparable platforms

• Convert business requirements into impactful visual solutions that effectively and accurately convey insights

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and ensure visualizations align with strategic goals

• Enhance the performance and usability of dashboards and reports for diverse audiences

• Guide junior developers and contribute to the establishment of visualization standards and best practices

• Stay informed about emerging trends in data visualization and analytics technologies

• Safeguard the company's intellectual property and customer data privacy

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Over 5 years of experience in data visualization or BI development

• Proficiency with one or more visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or Looker

• Strong command of SQL and data modeling

• Experience with scripting languages like Python or R, as well as web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, or CSS is advantageous

• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to effectively convey data insights

• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across large, complex datasets preferred

• Practical experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance tuning, and semi-structured data formats like JSON or XML, is beneficial

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools such as SSIS, Apache Airflow, or Azure Data Factory preferred

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and best practices for scalable analytics preferred

• Experience in integrating visualization tools with cloud-based data sources and APIs preferred

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance within cloud environments preferred

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus

• Understanding of UX/UI principles in dashboard design is preferred

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently

• Normal hearing and eyesight; ability to use telephone or headset equipment, keyboard, and office tools

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily and handle constant interruptions

• Capability to sit for extended periods

• Occasional ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
