This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Collaborate with partner ML and Annotation engineers as well as TPMs to outline data and training needs.
• Ensure that datasets are accurately curated, filtered, and processed for production-level machine learning applications.
• Convert high-level project objectives into actionable data specifications for engineering and annotation teams.
• Uphold high standards of data integrity.
• Guarantee that media datasets used for training are both representative and precise.
• Handle large 2D and 3D media datasets.
• Connect raw data with high-quality machine learning inputs through technical expertise and cross-functional leadership.
• Master's Degree or certification in Data Science or a related field in computational sciences.
• Over 3 years of relevant industry experience in a dynamic, high-growth tech environment.
• Demonstrated experience as a Data Scientist in a fast-paced setting.
• Previous experience in fields with complex multi-disciplinary teams, such as robotics, smart grids, precision agriculture, game development, or aerospace.
• Proficiency in Python, Git, and the Unix shell.
• Knowledge of Jira/Confluence, Slack, a Git server, and an experiment tracking framework.
• Familiarity with data visualization and inspection tools for computer vision and 3D data, such as FiftyOne.
• Strong understanding of data science fundamentals and a solid mathematical background.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.
• Capability to collaborate effectively across various engineering disciplines to define and implement technical requirements.
