Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and engage with essential machine learning solutions.

• Construct and implement forecasting and classification models.

• Utilize XGBoost and/or LightGBM in a production environment.

• Clarify and troubleshoot models using SHAP for non-technical audiences.

• Create GenAI products that involve RAG, vector search, and agent-based tool usage.

• Execute agentic coding with Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.

• Manage LLM API batch or asynchronous tasks at scale.

• Collaborate with Azure, Databricks, GCP/Vertex, or AWS/SageMaker platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query performance optimization.

• Strong expertise in Python.

• Experience with PySpark or similar technologies.

• Practical experience in forecasting and classification in production or significant projects; coursework is not acceptable.

• Proven use of XGBoost and/or LightGBM in a production setting.

• Familiarity with SHAP for explaining and debugging models to non-technical stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience in agentic coding with Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.

• Developed GenAI products, including RAG, vector search, and agents utilizing tools.

• Experience managing LLM APIs at scale, employing batch or asynchronous jobs with a high volume of calls.

• Preference for Azure and/or Databricks; strong experience with GCP/Vertex or AWS/SageMaker is also acceptable.
