Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the creation and implementation of data science and advanced analytics solutions that enhance underwriting insights, operational efficiency, and risk management.

• Convert business challenges into scalable analytical use cases that align with regulatory requirements and risk expectations.

• Supervise the design, validation, deployment, and monitoring of predictive models, ensuring all processes are well-documented and controlled.

• Collaborate with data governance and risk teams to guarantee model transparency and compliance.

• Act as the technical lead for a team of data scientists and analysts, setting clear priorities and performance benchmarks.

• Effectively communicate insights to non-technical leaders, facilitating informed decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in data, analytics, engineering, or similar areas.

• Proven track record in building and scaling enterprise data platforms and contemporary data architectures.

• Extensive knowledge in data governance, data engineering, analytics enablement, and a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts.

• Demonstrated capability to thrive in a fast-paced, outcomes-oriented environment with a proactive approach.

• Strong business acumen with a history of generating measurable business value through data.

• Experience in the insurance sector, including knowledge of risk and regulatory issues is preferred.

• Outstanding communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in leading organizational change and fostering data-driven cultures.

• Solid understanding of regulatory, ethical, and security aspects related to data and AI.

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
