This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create innovative and effective solutions for AI safety and cyber detection challenges.
• Collaborate on comprehensive research and development strategies that encompass data sourcing, data labeling, advanced modeling, evaluation/benchmarking, and engineering collaboration for product readiness.
• Work alongside product and engineering teams to design efficient, computable, and maintainable solutions tailored for specific purposes.
• Propel innovation in LLM-related research and development with the help of security experts.
• Oversee trade-offs related to accuracy, efficiency, and operational costs of deployed AI/ML models.
• Make strategic choices regarding GenAI model architectures, training methods, and deployment tactics.
• Lead and structure the research strategy for new GenAI agents and LLMs.
• Foster innovation in LLM applications, such as reasoning, summarization, and interactivity.
• Mentor and support Data Scientists while promoting engineering excellence.
• Initiate cross-functional projects and work with senior leadership to ensure alignment of technical strategy with business objectives.
• Represent CrowdStrike’s technical prowess through publications, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership.
• Establish best practices, technical benchmarks, and evaluation frameworks for the team.
• Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of practical machine learning/research experience.
• Proven expertise in developing production-grade models.
• Profound knowledge in LLM training or post-training/deployment at scale.
• Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring teams and shaping technical strategy.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, deep learning frameworks, and cloud technologies.
• Expert-level knowledge of GPU technologies and optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven track record of addressing complex technical challenges at scale.
