Senior Data Scientist, Ads

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement data science solutions aimed at enhancing the advertiser experience and optimizing Reddit's advertising platform.

• Examine extensive datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that elevate the effectiveness of the advertising platform.

• Work closely with product managers and engineers to establish product requirements and convert them into data science solutions.

• Build machine learning models and data science techniques for anomaly detection, forecasting, and pattern identification.

• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and data science.

• Mentor and support junior data scientists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.

• M.S. degree holders: 5+ years of relevant industry experience in applied science or data science positions.

• Ph.D. degree holders: 4+ years of relevant industry experience in applied science or data science positions.

• Familiarity with platforms and a profound understanding of the advertising ecosystem.

• Strong grasp of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design.

• Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis utilizing Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; knowledge of BigQuery is a plus.

• Proficient in Python or R, with experience in machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

• A strong passion for Reddit and the online advertising sector.

• Bonus: experience in online advertising and advertising technology.

• Bonus: experience with causal inference and A/B testing methodologies.

• Bonus: contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals.
