Senior Data Engineer, Analytics Pipeline

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage an event-driven pipeline that processes new Partner data from the HFPP healthcare claims warehouse.

• Direct data into implemented fraud, waste, and abuse signals.

• Transition newly approved fraud signals into production using dependable pipeline logic at the scale of claims records.

• Create and sustain alert delivery systems, including partner email notifications and individualized HTML dashboards within the HFPP Portal analytics extension.

• Oversee pipeline latency, monitor failed jobs, and identify missing data.

• Address pipeline issues proactively to prevent impacts on Partner alert cycles.

• Collaborate with the Data Architect, technical teams, investigative teams, and Data Scientists.

• Manage the handoff of signals from Data Science without assuming ownership of the underlying methodology.

• Report through the program's analytical leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in building and managing production data pipelines.

• Experience with at least one event-driven or streaming system operating at true scale.

• Practical knowledge of AWS and Snowflake.

• Proficient in Python and SQL for coding pipelines and integrations.

• Experience in developing alerting or notification systems linked to a dashboard or portal.

• Background in operationalizing validated models, rule sets, or signals in production without altering their behavior.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting.

• Preferred: familiarity with healthcare claims data or healthcare coding systems, such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, or DRG.

• Preferred: experience with pipeline monitoring/observability tools and on-call incident response.

• Preferred: background in fraud, anomaly detection, or alerting pipelines.

• Preferred: AWS certification, such as Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent proven expertise.

• Minimal travel of less than 10% is required.
