Senior Data Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, optimize, and sustain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for analytics and business intelligence.

• Establish data architectures, encompassing data lakes, warehouses, and integration layers.

• Execute data quality checks, validation processes, and monitoring systems.

• Create and maintain integrations between data sources, third-party tools, and analytics platforms.

• Collaborate with Data & Analytics Managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to provide technical solutions.

• Oversee and enhance data pipeline performance, query efficiency, and storage expenses.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation for data architectures, pipelines, and processes.

• Apply security best practices and ensure adherence to data privacy regulations.

• Utilize AI tools and automation to improve data engineering workflows and productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient with major Cloud Platform providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.

• Good command of English (B2 level or higher).

• Experience collaborating with international clients.

• Extensive experience in data pipeline development and ETL/ELT processes.

• Proficient in data warehousing solutions (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).

• Skilled in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).

• Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.

• Proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.

• Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Stitch, etc.).

• Familiarity with streaming data platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis).

• Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are a plus.
