Senior Data Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Contributes to existing code repositories by enhancing and upholding code in accordance with established patterns and conventions.

• Adheres to Git best practices, which include branching, commit hygiene, code reviews, and merge procedures.

• Clearly and consistently communicates progress, obstacles, and technical decisions with the broader team.

• Collaborates within a larger cross-functional team that is responsible for the overall success of each project.

• Constructs data pipelines that feed downstream applications and AI agents by integrating and transforming data from sources such as Google BigQuery and SAP.

• Develops and maintains ETL/ELT processes to ensure reliable and accurate data flow between systems.

• Designs and maintains database structures that support both operational and analytical workloads.

• Builds and enhances front-end interfaces for internal applications, including a SaaS solution for forecasting and inventory management.

• Develops backend features and administrative functionalities that support daily application operations.

• Constructs and maintains scheduled cron jobs to automate recurring application or data processes.

• Aids in machine learning model development for computer vision and forecasting.

• Assists in preparing data and features required for training and evaluating models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in contributing to and extending existing code repositories within a team setting.

• Strong understanding of Git and collaborative version control practices.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with a distributed team.

• Expertise in at least one of the following areas, with familiarity in others: database development and SQL, front-end/application development, ETL and data pipeline development, or machine learning.

• Willingness to engage in a variety of tasks as defined by the team, rather than being confined to a single fixed role.

• Experience with Google BigQuery, SAP, or similar enterprise data platforms is advantageous when relevant to assigned tasks.

• Background in SAP integrations.

• Experience building or maintaining SaaS-style applications (such as forecasting, inventory management, or similar).

• Experience in machine learning, specifically for computer vision or time-series forecasting.

• Familiarity with scheduled/automated jobs (cron) and lightweight administrative tools.

• Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or procurement contexts.
