Senior Data and BI Analyst – Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain internal reporting for operational volume, case status and stage, cycle and resolution times, throughput, and service-level metrics.

• Take ownership of payment reconciliation reporting with precise results.

• Create and deliver scoped, self-service reporting solutions for enterprise clients.

• Model data within the analytics warehouse using dimensional models, incremental transformations, and thoroughly documented pipelines.

• Manage the metric layer, which includes definitions, queries, business rules, and a data dictionary.

• Reconcile reports with source systems and ensure ongoing reconciliation as applications evolve.

• Implement role-based access and data minimization for regulated healthcare and payment information.

• Detect data-quality issues, assess their impact, and collaborate with engineering to implement fixes.

• Translate executive and client inquiries into defined metrics and communicate when data is insufficient to answer a question.

• Expand reporting patterns and definitions across the company’s other products.

• Work alongside senior fullstack engineers, QA, product management, and leadership in the United States.

• Deliver reports directly to executives and client representatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, including complex analytical queries, window functions, and query performance optimization.

• Practical experience with data warehouses like ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.

• Background in data modeling within a warehouse environment.

• Familiarity with dimensional and semantic modeling over normalized transactional schemas.

• Experience developing client-facing reports utilized by external customers.

• Production-quality coding in Git with experience in code review processes.

• Capability to build and execute transformation jobs.

• Knowledge of role-based access, personal or health data handling, and audit compliance in regulated environments such as HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI, or similar.

• Proficiency in professional English, both written and spoken; fluency is essential.

• Minimum of four hours of daily overlap with United States Eastern time, specifically from 9:00 to 13:00 ET.

• Ability to contract and invoice independently in the country of residence.

• Acceptance of confidentiality and data-handling terms for regulated healthcare information.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with healthcare payments, claims, payer/provider data, No Surprises Act dispute resolution, dbt or similar transformation frameworks, change data capture, financial reconciliation reporting, Python, TypeScript, embedded analytics or BI tools with row-level security, AWS, and prior experience with a United States company in a regulated sector.
