Business Intelligence Developer I – QUICKSIGHT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain analyses, datasets, reports, and multi-level dashboards in the secure CMS environment using Amazon QuickSight.

• Convert business and contract requirements into clear, precise, and actionable dashboard experiences for QIO stakeholders.

• Gather, document, and refine dashboard requirements in collaboration with HSAG staff, CMS stakeholders, and clients.

• Create QuickSight navigation, drill-downs, filters, parameters, calculations, and views tailored to specific roles.

• Ensure the accuracy of dashboard measures, calculations, labels, and visualizations by applying data-quality procedures.

• Keep documentation of dashboard versions and assist in the controlled promotion of changes.

• Develop and uphold Tableau dashboards or visualizations as required.

• Design proof-of-concept solutions and advanced business intelligence visualizations.

• Validate metrics, investigate data discrepancies, and support on-demand analysis.

• Produce documentation for dashboards, data definitions, user guidance, presentations, and project materials.

• Offer technical support and troubleshooting for dashboards, data, access, and functionality issues.

• Oversee technical User Acceptance Testing, document outcomes, resolve defects, and ensure production readiness.

• Manage the lifecycle of dashboard development deliverables in alignment with schedules, contract requirements, security standards, and milestones.

• Communicate technical and analytic topics through documentation, demonstrations, and presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a quantitative field.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining visualization solutions utilizing Amazon QuickSight.

• Practical expertise in Amazon QuickSight, including analyses, dashboards, calculated fields, filters, parameters, and interactive visualizations.

• Familiarity with Tableau dashboard development is essential.

• Preferred experience in hands-on Tableau development.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Experience in documenting business and technical requirements from user interviews.

• Preferred experience with Databricks.

• Preferred experience in healthcare, Medicare, claims, quality improvement, or other regulated data contexts.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate with various teams.

• Must successfully undergo CMS vetting, identity verification, background investigation, and complete security, privacy, and access-authorization processes.

• Must maintain eligibility for CMS system access and finish required security and privacy training.

• Must adhere to CMS and HSAG policies regarding the handling of sensitive information.
