This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, extract and model data from the platform, and present clear insights and recommendations.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the platform's data model, data, and functionality.
• Address consumer inquiries regarding available data, its interpretation, and utilization.
• Establish, verify, and uphold key metrics, ensuring consistency across the platform.
• Record data sources, schemas, metric definitions, and query methodologies.
• Construct reusable queries, dashboards, and instructional guides to facilitate self-service.
• Analyze data sources, identify anomalies, and collaborate with data engineering to address issues at their origin.
• Transform consumer requirements into constructive feedback for the platform team and assist in onboarding teams to new data.
• Utilize AI tools to analyze data, draft SQL, summarize insights, and create documentation; share best practices with the team.
• Over 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a comparable role, delivering insights that have influenced significant decisions.
• Proficient in SQL; capable of independently querying, joining, and modeling data within a cloud-based data warehouse.
• Familiarity with a scripting language like Python is advantageous.
• Practical knowledge of contemporary cloud data architectures, data pipelines, and schemas.
• Ability to trace data from its source to consumption, identify data-related concerns, and collaborate effectively on technical solutions.
• Proficient in technical writing, including creating data dictionaries, metric definitions, runbooks, and instructional guides.
• Capable of validating data, clarifying assumptions, and conveying findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Actively engage with AI tools and a willingness to stay updated as technology progresses.
• Authorized to work within the United States.
• This position is open to candidates based in the United States.
• Familiarity with property, leasing, or real estate data is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in establishing or maintaining a data catalog, data dictionary, or metrics layer is a plus.
• Experience in supporting internal users of a shared data platform is an advantage.
• Familiarity with dbt, version control, or documentation-as-code methodologies is a plus.
