Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the company's analytics and reporting operations as the primary Data Analyst.

• Act as an internal analytics advisor throughout the organization.

• Examine business processes, customer behavior, mobile app telemetry, and security event information.

• Create and sustain executive dashboards and operational reports utilizing Tableau.

• Evaluate business metrics such as revenue, customer expansion, subscriptions, retention rates, product adoption, and operational performance.

• Investigate mobile app telemetry, customer behavior, product utilization, and feature engagement.

• Track security threats, trends, anomalies, and the effectiveness of products.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Security Intelligence on both routine and on-demand analytical requirements.

• Establish and track KPIs while uncovering trends and opportunities for business and product enhancement.

• Convert intricate data findings into straightforward insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Write efficient SQL queries in AWS Athena for large datasets stored in Amazon S3.

• Integrate data from various internal systems.

• Design, develop, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards.

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data.

• Document data sources, business rules, report definitions, and analytical methodologies.

• Identify opportunities for automating routine reporting and analysis.

• Provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights while continuously improving reporting and analytical capabilities.

• Contribute to financial reporting, quarter-end closing, invoicing, and reconciliation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in delivering analytics or business intelligence solutions within technology, mobile applications, cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Proficiency in SQL at an expert level with experience handling complex relational datasets.

• Familiarity with AWS Athena or a comparable cloud-based analytical query platform.

• Advanced experience with Tableau or equivalent BI platforms.

• Strong grasp of relational databases and data modeling concepts.

• Experience in analyzing software product telemetry, application usage, or operational event data.

• Experience working with large-scale datasets in cloud environments.

• Ability to distill complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities and projects with minimal oversight.

• Preferred: familiarity with Python or R, cybersecurity/mobile applications/SaaS, data governance and quality practices, and AI-enabled tools and workflows.
