Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the reporting and analytics department as the primary Data Analyst and internal analytics advisor.

• Examine business operations, customer behaviors, mobile application telemetry, and security event data.

• Create and manage executive dashboards and operational reports utilizing Tableau.

• Evaluate business metrics such as revenue, customer growth, subscriptions, retention, product adoption, and operational performance.

• Assess mobile application telemetry, user behavior, product usage, and feature adoption.

• Analyze security event data to track threats, trends, anomalies, and product effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Security Intelligence on ongoing and one-off analytical requests.

• Define and monitor KPIs while identifying trends and opportunities for business and product enhancements.

• Convert complex data findings into insights and recommendations suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Write efficient SQL queries in AWS Athena against extensive datasets stored in Amazon S3.

• Integrate data from various internal systems.

• Design, develop, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards.

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data.

• Document data sources, business rules, report definitions, and analytical methodologies.

• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and analysis processes.

• Provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights while continuously improving reporting and analytical capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience delivering analytics or business intelligence solutions in technology, mobile applications, cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience working with complex relational datasets.

• Familiarity with AWS Athena or a similar cloud-based analytical query engine.

• Advanced experience with Tableau or an equivalent BI platform.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.

• Experience in analyzing software product telemetry, application usage, or operational event data.

• Experience working with large-scale datasets in cloud environments.

• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal oversight.

• Preferred: Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, data exploration, and automation.

• Preferred: Background in cybersecurity, mobile applications, and/or SaaS.

• Preferred: Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and workflows for automating reporting and analysis.
