Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain executive dashboards and operational reports utilizing Tableau.

• Conduct analysis of business metrics such as revenue, customer growth, subscriptions, retention, product adoption, and operational performance.

• Examine mobile application telemetry, customer behavior, product usage, and feature adoption.

• Investigate security event data to track threats, trends, anomalies, and product effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Security Intelligence on both recurring and ad hoc analytical needs.

• Establish and monitor KPIs while identifying trends and opportunities for business and product enhancements.

• Convert complex data findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Write efficient SQL queries in AWS Athena to extract and analyze extensive datasets stored in Amazon S3.

• Consolidate data from various internal systems to create reporting and analytical solutions.

• Design, develop, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards.

• Guarantee data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

• Document data sources, business rules, report definitions, and analytical methodologies.

• Recognize opportunities to automate regular reporting and analysis.

• Deliver precise, timely, and actionable insights, continuously improving reporting and analytical capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in delivering analytics or business intelligence solutions within technology, mobile applications, cybersecurity, or a similar environment.

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience with complex relational datasets.

• Familiarity with AWS Athena or a comparable cloud-based analytical query engine.

• Advanced experience with Tableau or an equivalent BI platform.

• Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling principles.

• Experience analyzing software product telemetry, application usage, or operational event data.

• Proven experience working with large-scale datasets in cloud environments.

• Capability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis, data exploration, and automation.

• Experience in cybersecurity, mobile applications, and/or SaaS.

• Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and workflows to automate reporting and analysis.
