This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Develop and deliver scalable datasets, intricate data reports, and analytical solutions for the Finance PMO, Process Excellence & Business Optimization, and Internal Audit & Controls teams.
• Collaborate with finance business partners and billing system stakeholders to assess business requirements and convert them into actionable analytics.
• Specify data needs and transform business inquiries into scalable analytical solutions concentrating on financial, statistical, and billing system data.
• Extract, integrate, validate, and analyze data from various internal and external sources.
• Create, maintain, and enhance SQL queries, data pipelines, and analytical models utilizing BigQuery, Python, and other data technologies.
• Design, develop, and sustain recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
• Reconcile results across systems, detect discrepancies, and resolve data quality challenges with stakeholders.
• Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies, and present findings through visualizations and executive-ready insights.
• Assist in cross-functional initiatives involving data engineering, analytics, reporting, and data warehouse or data mart migrations.
• Create and maintain scalable datasets, feature stores, and reusable analytical assets.
• Work collaboratively across various functional areas to deliver analytical solutions that align with organizational priorities.
• Stay updated on data technologies and enhance data processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical solutions.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance/Business, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in developing scalable datasets, reporting solutions, and analytical insights within a business context.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse environments.
• Strong capability in SQL and Python.
• Experience with additional scripting or query languages as required.
• High adherence to data quality checks and reporting testing processes.
• Advanced proficiency with Google BigQuery or similar cloud-based analytical databases.
• Thorough understanding of relational database design, data modeling, query optimization, APIs, and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience in integrating data from various source systems into unified analytical datasets.
• Background in developing reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern analytics architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AI processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve complex business challenges using logical, data-driven strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical findings into accessible insights for executive audiences.
• Strong collaborative abilities across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Capacity to prioritize multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly with telecom billing systems, is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA Finance, BRIM, RAR, and other SAP applications is preferred.
• Experience with finance and ERP systems other than SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with Tableau, Looker, and specifically Power BI is preferred.
• Background in supporting enterprise reporting, financial analytics, or executive dashboards is preferred.
• Professional certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Data Analytics, or related technologies are preferred.
• An advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.
