This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead professional services projects from initiation to customer approval, ensuring measurable results.
• Optimize controls using actual alert data to minimize noise and develop customized policies and detections for clients.
• Create documentation for tuned controls, enabling customers to manage them independently.
• Evaluate AI agents and MCP servers developed by customers prior to their deployment.
• Provide insights and remediation strategies based on assessments.
• Generate analyses and documentation for finance and compliance teams concerning AI expenditures and control frameworks.
• Manage custom implementations, integrations, and automation processes.
• Transform solutions into reusable tools, templates, and methodologies.
• Assist in defining Onyx’s professional services offerings and the criteria for engagement completion.
• Report directly to the Director of Customer Engineering as an initial team member in a new division.
• Over 5 years of experience in hands-on technical roles with enterprise clients, including managing scoped projects from inception to conclusion.
• Background in security fields such as detection engineering, application security, security architecture, or cloud security.
• Proficient scripting abilities (Python or similar languages).
• Familiarity with REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Capability to query and analyze logs and data (SQL or log query languages).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to present actionable findings and reports to clients.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and a willingness to contribute to building a new function.
• Nice to have: familiarity with AI security, including testing LLM applications, agents, or MCP servers.
• Nice to have: experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM tools, or agent frameworks.
• Nice to have: background in SIEM or SOC operations.
• Nice to have: knowledge of security and AI governance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act).
• Nice to have: exposure to cloud or AI cost analysis.
• Nice to have: relevant certifications (e.g., GIAC, cloud provider certifications).
