This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Define the trajectory of our Credit Platform: Outline the strategic roadmap for Monzo's Credit Platform, enhancing the shared infrastructure that empowers Product Credit teams to create, assess, and implement lending strategies across our retail and business lending products in the UK and emerging global markets.
β’ Develop Credit Valuation Infrastructure: Spearhead the advancement of the infrastructure that underpins Monzo's credit valuation capabilities, including our NPV modelling framework, ensuring it is scalable, dependable, and enables Product Credit teams to optimize lending economics.
β’ Lead and Cultivate a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and nurture a high-performing team of Credit Analysts, promoting a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement while delivering platform capabilities with a significant organizational impact.
β’ Collaborate Across Monzo: Partner closely with Credit, Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, and Risk teams to develop platform capabilities that expedite experimentation, streamline strategy deployment, and enhance the speed and quality of credit decision-making.
β’ Influence Through Technical Leadership: Advocate for the Credit Platform throughout Monzo, translating intricate technical ideas into clear recommendations for senior leaders and contributing to the future trajectory of our lending platform.
β’ You are a technical and strategic leader in credit with substantial expertise in unsecured lending.
β’ You possess a comprehensive understanding of lending economics, with extensive experience in NPV modelling and the systems and frameworks that support effective credit decision-making.
β’ You thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace ambiguity, enjoy designing frameworks from the ground up, and are committed to driving meaningful change.
β’ You excel as a cross-functional leader, collaborating effectively with Engineering, Product, Risk, Machine Learning, and Credit teams to deliver shared platform capabilities.
β’ You have a proven history of leading and developing analytical talents, and you are enthusiastic about the opportunity to guide a high-impact team.
β’ You possess strong analytical and data skills complemented by technical coding abilities (SQL is essential; experience with Python and Looker is a plus).
