This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee a profitable business portfolio within established guidelines, utilizing effective credit analysis methods.
• Conduct financial and credit evaluations to establish suitable company credit ratings.
• Perform buyer visits or conduct telephone interviews to gather essential portfolio-monitoring data.
• Keep track of high-risk buyers and seek proprietary information for the EHNA database.
• Build and maintain relationships with Finance Directors and treasurers through visits, calls, and written communication.
• Consistently assess buyers within authority and provide detailed recommendations for those outside authority.
• Communicate underwriting requirements with Sales Agents, Commercial Underwriters, and/or clients regarding industry forecasts and target markets.
• Generate industry sector forecasts using both public and proprietary data to identify market trends.
• Report directly to the head of SRU.
• Develop and implement comprehensive risk monitoring plans, including review dates, follow-ups, and updates.
• Create periodic detailed reports for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring necessary follow-up actions are taken.
• Monitor, notify, and suggest enhancements for the early detection of deteriorating risks or buyers at risk of default.
• Propose buyer-specific risk underwriting strategies to minimize defaults while enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Identify and employ risk reduction and mitigation strategies on a case-by-case basis.
• Communicate effectively with buyers and policyholders to support the defined risk strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, or Finance.
• MBA is preferred.
• 4-7 years of financial management experience in banking, credit insurance brokerage, or a credit insurance environment.
• Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of financial software and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong understanding of Financial Statements.
• Excellent analytical abilities.
• Interpersonal skills suitable for high-level business meetings, both internally and externally.
• Exceptional written communication skills.
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective time management skills.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in credit analysis and high-volume risk underwriting.
• Understanding of the local economic market.
• Expertise in a specific region and/or trade sector.
• Strong financial analysis skills with solid knowledge in Finance and Credit Management.
• Experience and proficiency in buyer assessment.
