This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Manage credit risk within TD's retail unsecured lending portfolio, which includes credit cards, personal loans, and overdraft services.
• Provide independent oversight and challenge regarding portfolio strategy, risk appetite, growth initiatives, and overall portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with senior business leaders, risk professionals, analytics teams, and executives to influence critical risk and business decisions.
• Achieve a balance between growth, profitability, and customer outcomes while ensuring compliance with TD's risk management framework and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the development, execution, and validation of risk strategies related to adjudication, exposure management, account management, portfolio segmentation, loss mitigation, and optimization of financial performance.
• Concentrate on overdraft and depository-related credit risk strategies while supporting broader unsecured lending portfolios and enterprise-wide credit risk initiatives.
• Serve as the primary regulatory contact regarding risk issues and requirements for a significant business segment.
• Evaluate and provide guidance on existing and forthcoming regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams outside of risk management.
• Represent the business in corporate initiatives, identify significant risks and implications, and offer guidance in complex scenarios.
• Act as a senior independent advisor in second-line credit risk management.
• Provide effective challenge and risk oversight for strategy proposals, policy modifications, portfolio actions, and risk management practices.
• Lead intricate analyses and present risk-based recommendations to senior management.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, risk assessments, and governance documentation.
• A bachelor's degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred or equivalent progressive work experience in addition to the experience outlined below.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience is required.
• Proficient in MS Office and various PC-based analytical and reporting software packages.
• Experience with relational databases and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using common programming languages like SQL or SAS.
• Familiarity with SAS Enterprise Miner, FICO Model Builder, or Angoss Knowledge Seeker.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data and derive conclusions.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with business peers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in developing and presenting recommendations to senior management.
• Capability to manage several complex initiatives simultaneously while effectively adapting to shifting priorities and business needs.
• Proven ability to cultivate productive relationships and influence decisions among business and functional partners without direct authority.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing executive-level presentations, risk assessments, and governance documents.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex analyses, exercise sound judgment, and convey risk-based recommendations to senior management.
• Occasional domestic travel may be required.
• Ability to perform sedentary work and continuously operate standard office equipment.
• Capability to concentrate for extended periods and read, write, and comprehend instructions.
