This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist in the execution and upkeep of the data governance framework.
• Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee data quality by defining rules, monitoring performance, setting metrics, and developing remediation plans.
• Aid in the cataloging, classification, and documentation of data assets.
• Manage and sustain the data catalog and data lineage for essential assets.
• Collaborate on the organization of data domains and the Data Mesh model.
• Work with business units to comprehend their needs, map domains, and convert requirements into governance actions.
• Engage in the onboarding and empowerment of data owners and stewards, advocating for data best practices and responsibility.
• Partner closely with data engineering teams to enforce policies across various platforms.
• Ensure that Livelo’s data assets remain secure, dependable, and accessible.
• Organize, distribute, and ensure the advancement of Data Governance practices within the company’s ecosystem.
• Balance the aspects of information compliance, quality, and security with the innovation agility required.
• A minimum of 4 years of substantial, proven experience in Data Governance, ideally in GCP environments.
• Familiarity with Dataplex and/or Databricks (Unity Catalog) for governance, cataloging, and access control.
• Strong understanding of data quality, including dimensions, rules, monitoring, and metrics.
• Experience with data catalogs and data lineage, encompassing documentation, traceability, and metadata management.
• Knowledge of data governance policies and standards, such as privacy, LGPD, access management, and data lifecycle management.
• Comprehension of Data Mesh and data/business domain concepts.
• Ability to engage with business units and translate their needs into governance requirements.
• Experience in engaging and enabling data owners and stewards.
• Certifications in GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, or Data Governance are advantageous.
• Familiarity with frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK is a plus.
• Experience with Data Contracts and Data Products is beneficial.
• Experience in multicloud environments is a plus.
