📋 Description

• Act as an embedded regulatory advisor to Engineering, Product, and partner Operations teams, offering on-the-spot guidance on the application of technology in healthcare delivery, AI, and clinical approaches within health technology.

• Convert intricate AI, data usage, and healthcare legislation, along with associated subregulatory guidance, into actionable advice and tools that Engineering, Product, and Operations teams can readily comprehend and apply. This includes, but is not limited to: TCPA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM, NIST AI RMF and the Generative AI Profile, FDA Software as a Medical Device, FTC Advertising and Marketing, and Health Claims marketing guidance.

• Foresee regulatory obstacles and proactively create solutions that support business goals while minimizing risk.

• Foster strong relationships across teams to position guidance as a facilitator of business rather than a hindrance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of post-bar legal experience with substantial expertise in healthcare regulations, particularly in health technology and product counseling.

• Profound knowledge of multi-state healthcare regulations in dynamic regulatory landscapes.

• Experience acting as a trusted advisor to Engineering, Product, and/or Operations teams within a healthcare technology context.

• Demonstrated capability to simplify complex healthcare regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.

• Proven history of aligning business risk tolerance with business goals in fast-paced organizations.

• Excellent communication skills and political acumen to manage competing priorities and cultivate effective partnerships.

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing (ability to register as NY in-house counsel required).
