Senior Counsel – Lemon Law Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create strategic case plans and compelling themes for the cases.

• Manage cases independently, taking full responsibility for case handling.

• Supervise discovery processes and engage in substantive motion practice.

• Conduct and defend depositions.

• Handle court appearances, briefs, and trials independently.

• Assess case exposure and prepare for mediation and trial.

• Maintain regular and direct communication with clients.

• Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective clients.

• Collaborate with attorneys across various teams and cases.

• Provide guidance and leadership to junior attorneys.

• Enhance courtroom and trial skills in collaboration with seasoned trial lawyers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active California Bar license.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited institution.

• A minimum of 8 years of substantial litigation experience, particularly in litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.

• At least 5 years of litigation experience focusing on Lemon Law defense cases.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation.

• At least 2 years of experience in General Liability defense.

• Capability to manage complete case handling responsibilities, encompassing all aspects of discovery and trial.

• Preferred experience in handling insurance defense cases.

• Familiarity with time management systems.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Ability to think independently and act with minimal supervision.

• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
