This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Deliver comprehensive legal counsel and direction on global labor and employment issues.
• Provide advice on matters including discipline, terminations, anti-discrimination, harassment, disability law, leaves, reductions-in-force, and other employment-related concerns.
• Create executive-level briefings, recommendations, and risk assessments for the Chief Legal Officer.
• Offer employment-law support for the EU, UK, and APAC regions.
• Assist with employee investigations, disciplinary actions, international employee onboarding, and employment-law training.
• Oversee employment litigation and contribute to broader litigation, investigations, and dispute resolution efforts.
• Conduct statistical analyses related to pay equity, compensation reviews, variable compensation, and reductions-in-force.
• Provide guidance on temporary and contract employees and negotiate service agreements.
• Address employment-law considerations during divestitures and acquisitions.
• Offer advice on employment contracts, non-competition agreements, confidentiality clauses, workers’ compensation, workplace policies, closures, staffing reductions, severances, WARN notifications, HIPAA, privacy, and Department of Labor reviews.
• Provide counsel on U.S. labor law, labor relations, union issues, NLRA charges, grievances, arbitrations, and protected activities.
• Advise on ERISA welfare and tax-qualified plans, plan amendments, benefits changes, participant communications, benefits litigation, appeals, and administrative services agreements.
• Report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and contribute to EVERSANA’s growth and talent strategies.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar.
• 10–12+ years of pertinent experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
• Experience in global labor and employment matters, particularly within APAC, EU, and UK regions.
• Strong legal acumen coupled with sound business judgment.
• A collaborative working style with experience in team environments.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing abilities.
• A pragmatic approach with effective problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to influence organizational results through strategic legal advice.
• Prior experience in employment litigation is required.
• Expertise in health privacy law, including HIPAA marketing, GDPR sensitive personal data, and health data transfers, is preferred.
• Previous in-house experience is preferred.
• Broader experience in litigation, investigations, or dispute resolution is preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours from Monday to Friday.
• Capability to meet office-related physical requirements, such as sitting or standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
