Senior Counsel, Business Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Negotiate and design customized commercial agreements with strategic fintech and technology partners

• Create innovative agreement frameworks for product partnerships

• Offer practical, balanced legal advice regarding risk

• Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance/Tax, and Compliance teams

• Address challenges, foster partnerships, and finalize complex agreements within tight timelines

• Develop commercial playbooks, templates, and scalable strategies

• Counsel business leaders on the implications of transactions and product roadmaps

• Recognize legal risks and formulate solutions that align with Coinbase’s commercial goals

⛳️ Requirements

• J.D. (or an equivalent qualification)

• Over 7 years of pertinent transactional experience, either in-house or at a prestigious law firm

• Valid licensure in a U.S. state

• Proven experience in negotiating and structuring intricate fintech commercial agreements

• History of successfully closing high-stakes deals with complex counterparties

• Capability to independently manage deal execution from inception to closing

• Experience in overseeing multiple concurrent transactions with cross-functional stakeholders

• Proven ability to establish scalable legal processes, including playbooks, templates, and deal frameworks

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with necessary human oversight
