This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the primary daily client liaison for cost management services.
• Assist in large-scale hyperscale data center campuses or mission-critical construction projects across the U.S.
• Assess and negotiate change orders throughout the construction process.
• Develop and present final cost plans while offering cost planning support.
• Review and engage in the development of cost estimates by the design team and general contractor.
• Reconcile project changes and ensure the accuracy of contractor data.
• Collect project status updates and prepare cost estimate revisions.
• Draft written feedback on contractor submissions, including executive summaries.
• Aggregate cost information from NPA, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.
• Influence engineering priorities based on cost implications.
• Address scheduling challenges proactively with minimal oversight.
• Oversee cost checks, valuations, cost variances, change control, contingencies, and commitment tracking.
• Create funding-data presentations and facilitate value-engineering sessions.
• Develop and revise cost plans and estimates throughout design milestones.
• Offer commercial insights for design optioneering and value engineering.
• Review pricing from contractors and subcontractors, leading client negotiations.
• Conduct quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage cost auditing, valuation, and cost-validation processes.
• Generate monthly cost reports for client review.
• Negotiate and finalize accounts.
• Compile built-cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.
• Identify, coach, and mentor talent.
• Oversee commission margins, fee/resource forecasts, and financial reporting using internal software.
• Implement internal business management systems, delivery methodologies, and tools.
• Assist with relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel and provide onsite project support, typically 25-50% of the time.
• Must be physically located in the United States.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of pertinent experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
• Experience leading cost management efforts on medium or large projects with medium-to-high complexity.
• Preferably experienced in data center, mission-critical, advanced technology, industrial, semiconductor, manufacturing, power, or major infrastructure sectors.
• Preferred experience supporting hyperscale data center campuses, mission-critical facilities, large capital programs, or highly technical facilities.
• Strongly preferred construction consultancy experience.
• Good understanding of construction industry technical aspects, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• RICS accreditation or progress toward it is preferred.
