This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Serve as the primary daily contact for clients regarding cost management services.
• Provide leadership and guidance that aligns with Turner & Townsend’s mission, values, and vision.
• Negotiate change orders throughout the construction process.
• Develop and present comprehensive final cost plans.
• Reconcile changes and support the general contractor in ensuring data accuracy.
• Collect project status updates and prepare cost reports along with the latest estimate revisions.
• Draft written feedback on contractor submissions, including executive summaries.
• Coordinate cost data from NPA, subcontractors, quantities from architects/engineers, and suppliers.
• Advise on engineering priorities based on cost implications.
• Proactively address scheduling conflicts.
• Oversee cost assessments and valuations on larger projects.
• Manage post-contract cost discrepancies, change control, contingencies, and commitment tracking.
• Prepare presentations for funding data and facilitate value engineering sessions.
• Create cost plans and estimates aligned with design milestones.
• Offer commercial insights during design optioneering and value engineering processes.
• Review pricing from contractors and subcontractors and lead negotiations on the client side.
• Conduct quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Generate monthly cost reports for client review.
• Negotiate and finalize accounts.
• Compile built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.
• Identify, coach, and mentor emerging talent.
• Monitor commission margins, fees, and resource forecasts using internal software.
• Implement business management systems, delivery methodologies, and tools.
• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the energy sector.
• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is preferred.
• Experience in leading cost management for medium to large construction projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Strong preference for candidates with construction consultancy experience.
• Solid understanding of technical aspects of the construction industry, including procurement strategies, value management, and value engineering.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Extensive experience with SAP.
• Knowledge and experience with Ecosys.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in client-facing roles.
